If knew something was coming....
would you get ready?
This is what Jesus was trying to teach His followers: But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into. (Matthew 24:43)
If you know there is danger
you prepare for it.
When we know there is a thief about to break into our house we would at the very minimum lock the door and listen for any strange sounds with a baseball bat. In Fact... we most often lock the door at night not because we particularly expect a thief every night but because we do not know what to expect.
What about when you don't know?
Consider this a rancher puts a brush guard on a truck is not because they expect to hit anything, but it is because they plan not to hit anything, it is for the unexpected, the sudden, the moment there is no way to prepare for. Like a deer leaping out of the tall grass in front of you at the last moment, where there is no possible way to react in time. Odds are in fact that many people will never have to use their brush guards in such a dramatic way, but it is there to protect the family in the truck.
There is an unexpected, sudden,
moment in everyone's future
But the odds are sure, 100% certain that there is an unexpected, sudden, moment in everyone's future and while there is no way to avoid it, there is a way to prepare for it. The moment I speak of is death, death is for certain no matter your option or perspective of it.
A wise person knows this and prepares for it, they believe God and put their trust in Jesus Christ. They know most often when a person's eyes close to a final time in death, there is no possible way to react in time.

So today do you know Jesus,
do you have his protection and love?

Are you prepared....
If you face death today
If you are ready to trust God's promises, it means that you accept God's word (the Bible) as true and you are starting a relationship with God that will affect every part of your life. If you are ready to accept this then you only need to ask God this (God is ready to listen to anyone who calls on HIM):
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer
